ACADEMICS

The philosophy of education at St. Odilia School provides a caring Christian environment in which Academic excellence and spiritual development occur simultaneously. Recognizing that parents are the primary educators and inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ, our multicultural school strives to develop and implement programs conducive to an educational process whereby students grow spiritually, intellectually, psychologically, sociologically, psychologically, sociologically, physically, and aesthetically in a nurturing Christian atmosphere.

St. Odilia School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). This accreditation process is designed to strengthen schools in the delivery of quality educational programs. Accreditation is important to schools as it impacts students’ access to colleges and universities and career opportunities in a variety of ways. An effective WASC self-study review is a powerful tool for schools to improve the quality of education and more effectively serve staff and students.

St. Odilia School offers curriculum as stipulated by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the California State Standards. Furthermore, our principles and practices are in accord with the religious and ethical principles of the Roman Catholic Church. St. Odilia School is a 501(c)(3) organization. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles employs its own school superintendent, Paul Escala, who oversees the quality of education and programs offered at each archdiocesan school. Both the Los Angles Archdiocese and St. Odilia School are charitable not-for-profit organizations, qualifying under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Tax Code.

Title 1
