EIGHTH GRADE
Hello and thank you for visiting our Classroom Webpage!
My name is Myra Rivas. I am the English Language Arts Middle School Teacher and 8th-grade Homeroom Teacher.
I am a proud Alumna of Bishop Conaty Our Lady of Loretto High School. I earned my B.A. from the University of California Los Angeles. #BruinPride I completed my Masters of Science in Education at Mount Saint Mary’s University-LA.
This year will be very exciting and I hope that we can all work together so we can make this year very successful for your child! Parent involvement is a very important aspect of a child’s education and I look forward to working with you to ensure your child’s success.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy watching movies and spending time with my family.
Let’s make this an awesome year!

Welcome to my English Language Arts class! We will be working very hard this year. Not only will we be reading novels throughout the year, we will be working on expanding our vocabulary and mastering our grammar skills.
I look forward to working with you this year.
In order to create a successful classroom environment, I have a number of rules and procedures. I fully expect that those rules and procedures will be strictly adhered to; however, those students who choose to violate rules and procedures will be subject to the discipline policy.
