Hispanic Heritage Month Begins: Students Enjoy Cultural Food, Fun, and Music!

September 14, 2018 by Vice Principal/DMD

Hispanic Heritage Month officially begins on September 15th, but we decided to get a jump start on recognizing the many contributions of the Hispanic culture.  During the month of September, teachers and students will study and discuss the important academic, social, and historical accomplishments of the Latino culture.  We decided a Friday Food Festival was a delicious way to start Hispanic awareness month!  Tacos, tamales, and churros with several other tasty treats made our festival a huge success!  A big thanks to all of our parent volunteers and those who donated items.  Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
