On Saturday, April 8th, several of our students received the sacrament of Baptism at St. Odilia Church. Our Pastor, Fr. Juan Silva, explained the responsibilities to the God parents as well as the way in which we all must support the newly Baptized. Fr. Juan clearly explained that the Sacrament of Baptism is often called “The door of the Church” because it is the first of the seven Sacraments, and all of the other Sacraments depend on it. It is also the first of the three Sacraments of Initiation, the other two being the Sacrament of Confirmation and the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Father also stressed the importance of our Catholic traditions, values, and morals that we must maintain and model to our newly baptized students. The service was a very special moment for all as we welcomed our newly baptized brothers and sisters into the Catholic community of believers!
